Winter Park High School has been rocked by the arrest of an assistant football coach for ‘inappropriate conduct’. Matthew Arnold, the principal of Winter Park High School, assures the assistant football coach that he will not be returning and recalls previous legal issues amongst the school’s coaching staff.
Winter Park Coach Arrested
Winter Park High School in Florida was shocked when they learned that an assistant football coaching had been arrested on charges of “inappropriate behavior not related to school”.
SBLive Sports Florida received a message from the individual informing him that the coach would not be returning to campus due to the priority placed on the safety of employees and students.
Winter Park High School was not the first to experience legal issues with coaches. Ashley Sinclair Brown, a coach at Winter Park High School, was charged in 2014 with lewd, lascivious and other offenses.
Brown resigned from his position as coach and, although the charges were dropped against him, the arrest of Brown brought back memories about previous conflicts between the coaching staff at the school and the police. The school community is worried about the safety and security of students in the wake of the incident.
Winter Park High School has no problem with such challenges. In the current situation, Winter Park High School’s efforts to create a safe learning environment are evident.
