Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello recently ended their 7 year relationship after clashing over childrearing issues, in part due to an age difference issue that played into their divorce decision.

Joe Manganiello, an American writer, producer, director and actor is married to Colombian American model Sofia Vergara; after seven years together the pair ultimately parted ways over differing opinions about whether to have children; Manganiello being more eager than Vergara for starting a family of their own.
Vergara was convinced that having another baby at 51 would be unjustified to both herself and her child. While Vergara respected those who decided to have them later on in life, this decision wasn’t one she wanted to follow herself. In an interview with El Pais she expressed admiration for those making that choice but wasn’t interested in replicating.
After becoming a mother at such an early age – her first son being born when she turned 19! – Manganiello announced their separation in July 2023 and filed for a divorce; family planning as being one major reason.

Unfortunately in July 2023 the pair announced they would part ways. Following months of speculation regarding their relationship they finally announced it publicly as planned in Summer 2023.
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello released an official statement showing mutual respect and love between themselves despite any issues leading to the divorce. Manganiello filed for separation after becoming aware of irreconcilable differences on July 2. Court documents indicate the couple have been apart since July 2.
Vergara and Manganiello both moved on following their separation. Manganiello pursued romantic interest from actress Caitlin O’Connor while Vergara focused on her professional endeavors and will play “Griselda,” an exclusive Netflix-exclusive show premiering 2024.
