Shiffrin walked away from the accident to seek medical attention. Due to Shiffrin’s accident, the race was delayed for a long time. Other skiers such as Federica Brignone (former overall winner) also faced challenges on the difficult track. Twelve of the 52 competitors didn’t complete the race, with Stephanie Venier from Austria as the winner.
