Sarah Gaffner Wrinkles tragic and sudden death at the age of 43 has left an indelible mark on Fruitport. Sarah was a beloved mother, friend, and daughter. Sarah was born in Grand Haven on June 16, 1980. She lived her life to the fullest, with passions such as fashion, exploration, and finding beauty in unexpected places.
Early Childhood Education
Sarah started her journey with Ronald Gaffner, and Christine Campbell Baker. She was active in sports and especially on the Grand Haven High School basketball team. This helped her develop her team spirit and work ethic. Sarah went on to Central Michigan University after high school where she earned a degree with a concentration in marketing and communications. She also developed her personal skills and laid the foundation for future marketing opportunities.
Passions & Interests
Sarah did not like to be still. She painted her life with bold strokes, a combination of creativity and adventure. Her travels and photography took her from the snowy slopes of skiing to the vibrant streets of Chicago and New York. Sarah used photography to express her creativity, capturing the beauty of everyday life. Fashion was also a passion that she embraced.

Sarah Wrinkles always held Jameson Wrinkles and Lila Wrinkles near. Sarah Wrinkles showed her love and kindness to them, as well as the importance of traditions like trips to Frankfort or Watervale. These memories will give strength and comfort throughout their lives.
Sarah has left a legacy of elegance and grace for everyone to see. Her beauty was not just on the surface, but emanated from her compassionate and kind spirit. Sarah’s passion for various causes brought joy to her parents, siblings and extended family, as well as friends in the community.
The Legacy of Sarah Gafner
A memorial for Sarah will be held at Porto Bello, Grand Haven, on 21 January 2024 as part of the celebrations of her life. Her family encourages everyone who loved Sarah and knew her to take part in a celebration of her birthday. This can be done through reflection, gatherings with friends, or donations to causes that are close to her, such as the Momentum Centre Capital Campaign Fund.

Her life, though cut short by an illness, was lived with grace, passion and unfailing affection for those closest to her.
