Microsoft Copilot App Now Available for iOS With Free GPT-4 Access

Microsoft Copilot is now available to download for iPhone and iPad from the Apple App Store. Microsoft released the iOS version of Copilot just days after launching its standalone Android app. The AI-powered Chatbot is powered by GPT-4 and DALL-E 3 latest versions. App is free, but there are some features that are missing in the mobile version. Microsoft has not made an official announcement about the release.

Copilot is , rebranded, from Bing Chat. It allows users to create text, answer queries, summarize text, write poems, essays and more. The DALL-E image generator can be used to create images. Users can also access the latest GPT-4 Large Language Model from OpenAI for free. As tested, however, you are only able to get 30 responses at once and will need to activate GPT-4 within the app.

Copilot on iOS does not save chat histories, so you can’t go back and review a previous conversation. The ChatGPT app also offers this feature, but Copilot gives you free access to GPT-4. You’ll need to pay to access ChatGPT. Users do not have to sign-in to use the chatbot, similar to Copilot for Android. Signing in will give you access to the longer chats.

Copilot for iOS also allows users to use images and voice to initiate conversations and ask questions. The App Store listing states that the app works with iPhones or iPads running iOS 15 and later. It is also available for Mac users, but only on Apple Silicon models running macOS 12.0 and later.

Microsoft announced a recent partnership with Sono. Sono is an AI-powered service for music creation. Copilot can be accessed via the internet and users can create their Bits. The user must sign in using a Microsoft account.

OpenAI released its own ChatGPT application on iPhone in May. Microsoft’s Copilot App gives users a way to access ChatGPT technology that is separate from Bing integration.

You can download the app for free on the Store, and it is also available for iPhones and iPads. Microsoft Copilot for iPad can be installed via the Mac App Store on any Mac powered Apple Silicon.
