January will see new releases from Samsung, OnePlus and Poco smartphones in India – with flagship launches like Samsung Galaxy S24 and OnePlus 12 series leading off this month’s festivities. There will also be multiple midrange phones released. Here’s a preview of some major brand and model debuts in January:
Launch of Samsung Galaxy S24 Series This highly anticipated trio may consist of S24 Plus and Ultra models and should feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip along with impressive camera sets (including 200MP sensor on Ultra model) and refined displays.
OnePlus 12 Series Launch in India and Global Market: On 23 January OnePlus will introduce two variants of their 12 smartphone: 12R and 12S with powerful specs, smooth screens, and upgraded cameras. Their launch event is planned to occur globally as well.
Mid-Range Powerhouses:
- Redmi Note 14 Series: Xiaomi is updating their budget-friendly lineup with the launch of Redmi Note 14 series smartphones on 4th January 2019. Expect improved performance, upgraded cameras and potentially higher refresh rate displays compared to its predecessor models.
Others
Xiaomi 14 Pro was unveiled by Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi during an October release event and could make its public debut during Mobile World Congress 2024, set for February of next year.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and features a display with WQHD+ resolution measuring 6.7 inches across and boasts maximum brightness of up to 3,000nits, as well as 522ppi density for pixels per square inch (ppi density).
Xiaomi 14 Pro features a 4880mAh battery which is compatible with 120W wired and 50W wireless chargers, as well as featuring a 50MP Light Hunter Sensor that features variable aperture between f/1.42-f/4.0 for optimal results. Furthermore, there is also a 50MP wide-angle lens, 50MP telephoto camera, and 32MP selfie cameras all on-board for your viewing enjoyment!
Vivo X100 Series: In India on Thursday January 4th 2024 will make their global debut, after being first launched in China earlier in April 2019. Since their initial introduction into Chinese market speculation about when and how these devices might make global appearance has been rampant.
Vivo’s X100 Pro and X100 handsets both utilise MediaTek Dimensity processors based on 4-nanometer technology and feature 6.78″ curved AMOLED displays capable of 120Hz adaptive refresh rates with 2,160Hz dimming PWM for dimming effects delivering maximum brightness levels up to 3,000nits.
