Since Juan Mendez died unexpectedly last Friday (Dec 15), music industry members have mourned. Affectionately known by many as Silent Servant he was known for producing techno and DJ sets throughout Europe and beyond. Mendez was confirmed dead to Pitchfork shortly thereafter via Resident Advisor reports. His representatives confirmed this news after they reached out to Pitchfork with news.
Mendez was raised in Los Angeles from birth, playing an instrumental part of Sandwell District Collective.
