Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, announced in 2020 that Riri William, also known as Ironheart, would be starring in her own original series starring Dominique Thorne. Ironheart will be brought to life in her own series, starring Dominique Thorne. Ironheart is a part of Phase Five. Riri’s comic history is the foundation of this series. Ironheart’s Plot
Ironheart is about Riri, a Black girl inventor and brilliant inventor who has created a high-tech suit similar to Iron Man’s. Black Panther : Wakanda forever reveals that Riri Williams is a 19 year-old MIT Student who runs a “homework business”. She also builds a vibranium detector that puts her right in front of Namor. He is the leader of an underwater nation and he will kill her to protect her people. She’s still alive at the end of this film, and is heading back to Massachusetts…for now. There are currently no details on the show. It is possible, however, that the show may bounce between Chicago where MJ lives and MIT where Ned and MJ are also located.
Origins of comic books
Ironheart is a 15-year old Black super-genius raised in Chicago. Her real name is Riri William. She’s an introverted kid who doesn’t make many friends. She is a huge Iron Man fan and builds her own armor in her MIT dorm. Tony Stark is immediately interested and becomes her mentor. Tony Stark and she share a dry, sarcastic sense humor. Adventures, supervillain battles and her coronation to the throne of a small nation in eastern Europe follow. We did not make up that last part. Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, and Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye are also members of the young superhero group The Champions.
Ironheart may not be a household name yet, but she’s been popular enough to appear in three Iron Man comics series, three of her own series, as well as several Marvel cartoons and her own animated special. She’s also in three Marvel games. She is hot.
However, the character has been the subject of creative controversy. A cover that featured her midriff bared when she was still underage sparked a backlash. Marvel was criticized more when it became known that all the Ironheart writers were white males. In fact, Marvel had no black female writers at that time. Oops!
Ironheart Iron Man
It will be interesting to see the depth of her relationship with Tony Stark in the film. In the comics, he was the first to back her in her quest for superherodom. After Tony’s demise, his dismembered mind becomes the AI that will control her suit. Robert Downey Jr. isn’t currently listed on the MCU cast list, so it’s unlikely that he’ll be returning. This is Us actress Lyric Ros has been cast in the role of Natalie, RiRi’s best friend. The comics show RiRi using Natalie’s voice as her armor’s artificial intelligence. This could be the direction the movie takes.
Ironheart’s Wakandan Suit Isn’t As Similar to Iron Man
Her Ironheart armor is another difference. In Marvel Comics Riri’s Mark II armor looks similar to Iron Man, but with red and golden plating. It also has a metallic look. Riri’s Wakandan Mark II armor in the MCU, however, does not resemble Iron Man’s iconic armor at all. This makes sense, given that there is no connection between the characters. The suit in Black Panther II is bulkier with large shoulder plates, and the mask has an alien appearance. Ironheart is different from Iron Man’s MCU suits, with its black, red, and blue color scheme.
Ironhearts Mark II is likely made of vibranium
It is very likely that the armor was imbued by Vibranium because Riri built her Ironheart Mark II in Wakanda. The suit is likely to have been made with only the rare metal. This was not the case for the comic version. The Mark II suit from Marvel Comics, which was created with Tony Stark’s help, was constructed with materials and elements similar to his Iron Man suits. Riri’s second suit, which is directly linked to Wakanda and was taken back by Shuri in the final scene, is more advanced than Riri’s first suit, even though it was made with the help of Tony Stark.
