Dale Ferguson served as Coach for Dewsbury Rams before contracting an illness which nearly ended his coaching career while on holiday. It is thought he contracted a virus which resulted in liver failure which required emergency liver transplant. With support from both family and club, his recovery went off without incident.

Dale Ferguson (b. April 13, 1988), born April 13 1988 is currently head coach of Dewsbury Rams in the Betfred Championship league. Before becoming a coach he played Super League with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Huddersfield Giants before turning his focus fully toward coaching roles.
Featherstone loaned Ferguson out from Huddersfield Giants so he could play for Bradford Bulls in both the Super League and Kingstone Press Championship in 2019. Furthermore, Ferguson made appearances with England Knights. In 2012 he played as well.
At midseason in 2013, Bradford Bulls extended Ferguson’s contract until 2015. By joining them midseason he secured himself for two more seasons beyond 2015 until now – his contract spanning 2015-2024 was an enormous deal!

Additionally he earned several selections with Scotland in 2010 before representing in Rugby League World Cup 2015 as an International player (RWC 2015 and RLC2015) alongside many international and European Cup tournament appearances (RWC 2015 and EUCC 2015 respectively) participations.
